karriezai: ([house] [cuddy] oh crap)

I just realized how much work I have to do in very little time. I have all tomorrow to do work, but Saturday and Sunday morning I work (hopefully, I need to call Bre to see if I actually get to work Saturday morning instead of evening) and then have family stuff in the evening with Danny's family. Monday I have lab and psyc section, then work. Tuesday school all day, naturally, it being my birthday. Wednesday we were going to go to King's Dominion for my birthday if it's nice, but I might have to decide against it to have time to finish work.

So that's the time I have.

TODAY:

* response questions/thoughts for HONR267 (should take fifteen minutes tops)
* register for classes at 3:30!

FOR MONDAY:

* print out lab

FOR TUESDAY:

* study for psych midterm
* study for geography midterm (hardcore!)
* write two-ish page make-up paper on Noh drama
* write two-ish page paper on Basho
* read "Civil Disobedience" and an assload of de Tocqueville (well 30ish pages)
* write one-page response to above reading

FOR THURSDAY:

* read The Woman in the Dunes and The Ruined Map
* prepare presentation on the above two
* read a couple newspaper articles for HONR267
* write response to string theory unit, two-ish pages

Now, no hyperventilating. Actually as a list it doesn't look so bad but it really is. I haven't read the Noh plays, the Basho work, or the two books I need to have a presentation on. Hell, I don't even have one of those books yet. Speaking of which, I need to go check the tracking on the book on Amazon. (Great. The delivery estimate is May 1 - May 15. Fuck you Amazon.) I guess if I can't get the book in time, I can explain it to her. You'd think doing the project on one book would be enough, right? Other people got, like, Part One of the Tales of Genji or maybe Princess Monoke or wtfever, but no, I get two modern novels. So if the book doesn't come in, I'll tell her and ask if I can just do it on The Woman in the Dunes, which I have.

So. Tonight and tomorrow I need to study for my two midterms and write the two little papers that are due on Tuesday on Noh and Basho. Which means reading the Noh plays and the Narrow Road to the Interior, but they aren't that long, so it'll be okay hopefully. I can also read at least the Thoreau for my Tuesday night class since it's online, and I can look for the de Tocqueville online too. If I can't find it, I'll find it at the library Monday between lab and psyc section. And I need to write the response paper. Whenever I have time I need to read The Woman in the Dunes -- tonight, tomorrow, bring it to the family stuff this weekend to read during downtime, whenever. I need to finish it ASAP, and take notes while I'm reading on anything that seems Shinto or Buddhist or Tao or whatever. And if I get The Ruined Map, I need to read that too.

The geography midterm's gonna suck though. I haven't been paying that much attention in class because it seems like what he's teaching will be easier to study from the book with diagrams and such. Which is probably true, but that means I'll have a lot of studying to do from the book, and I haven't been keeping up with it the way I have had to in Psych because of studying for section quizzes.

But anyway, back to the books for my presentation... Tuesday I'll watch other people's presentations, which will give me an idea of what I need to do, exactly. Wednesday I need to finish the book if I haven't already, put together a presentation... and hopefully write the reflection for HONR267, but that can be done Thursday before class if necessary.

Agh. Hopefully this isn't as bad as it all seems...

Oh, and the paper on the two books I'm presenting on Thursday is due on the 16th, supposed to be eight pages apparently, so I'll have to do that after next week. And study for finals. But at least there shouldn't be any other assignments! Please god.

Oh hey! I just noticed my HONR267 final is a take-home. ...I'm not sure I like that. I mean, it's kind of nice, but on the other hand they'll expect more because we got to take it home and we have more time to edit and such. I'm much better with on the spot essays because I don't tend to edit much when given the time to do it.

Whatever.

ETA My stupid cell just went off in class. I swear, it never goes off when it's on vibrate, but I forget to silence it one day and hey! Someone's trying to call me! -headdesk-

ETA 2 App's up at [livejournal.com profile] sorting_elite... Let's see how it goes.
