So Danny and I talked about kids' names tonight. He works with a guy whose name is, no shit, London Fog. So I asked him what he'd name a kid with the last name Titman. (That would be Danny's last name.) First he said Bigg, but then he said he already knew he wanted to name his first boy Jonathan Daniel Titman III. For some reason I really don't like the idea. I'd never have a junior. I like different names too much to reuse the same one, I guess. And if Danny's Danny and his dad is Jon, who's the kid? Danny said Johnny, but what about when the kid hits the stage where, "Johnny's a kid name, my name's Jon"? Okay, so you could get used to the same names thing. But I dunno, I just really don't want a junior or a 'the third'.
It's not something that matters, especially now. I told Danny it wouldn't become important until there was actually a pregnancy involved, after all. Once the pregnancy starts showing, it's like, maybe we should think of what to name this kid? Then we could work it out. (For all I know, I could have all girls. Neither of us wants more than two kids, so I don't think we'd keep trying. Danny really doesn't want a girl, though. I think it'll pass, but it's something about "What if my daughter's hot when she gets older?" lol) And if it really came down to it and he just couldn't settle for something else, I know I'd end up agreeing to it.
I like different names, though. What I like is ordinary words that make slightly odd names. Like Lock or Dusk or Apricot. (One of my book characters is named Apricot.) Shade. Blade, Blaze. Lake. Aura. And other names. Roran. Raine. Logan. Eh, there are others but I'm having a hard time thinking of more, so I'll move on instead of staring distractedly at the TV.
So anyway. I spent the weekend with Danny. Their water heater broke, and I sort of helped with the whole replacement process. I didn't do any of the heavy lifting or anything, but I helped move stuff out of the way and other stuff. It was kind of gross because the water was off, so we were working and couldn't wash our hands or shower.
It was a great time, though. We saw Underdog, which was way more fun than I expected. We test drove a Mazda 3; Danny really wants that car. He also looked for an apartment online and found one he really likes. I only hope when he checks it out the area isn't ghetto as shit. And god I love him.
I canceled my website because even though people joined, no one posted a single thing. No stories, nothing in the forum... blah. It was coming time to renew, and I just didn't want to spend the money. Instead I'm working on a free site. It'll start as just forums. I love Invision Free. Anyway, I'm starting basic with an expectation that I'll discuss ideas for expansion and improvement with members, making a highly cooperative site.
It's an art site, though, definitely. It's called Synergetic. I haven't started advertising yet, I'm really waiting for Alicia to tell me what she thinks. I may start advertising anyway now that I'm home, though.
I might make an Eysuria post. I'm thinking about it.
